The Story Behind BargainPHV
BargainPHV was founded by William Hanlon after decades of working across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, international IT sales and management, education, and private hire transport.
William began working as a private hire driver helping transport children to and from school while also undertaking airport journeys. It was during this time that he saw first-hand the inefficiencies within the traditional private hire and taxi model, particularly the cost of dead mileage.
Too often, drivers travelled long distances with empty return journeys while customers ultimately paid higher prices to cover those inefficiencies. He believed there had to be a better way.

Why BargainPHV Exists
That belief led to the creation of BargainPHV a UK trip-matching platform designed to help users and the trade make smarter use of airport, port and postcode journeys.
Rather than operating as a traditional booking or dispatch platform, BargainPHV enables users to create trip requests and connect directly with registered PHOs, private hire drivers and taxi drivers.
Through Trip Matcher, users can compare journey opportunities, discuss requirements and agree a fair fare range directly with the trade.

How BargainPHV Works
BargainPHV does not operate vehicles, dispatch transport or accept bookings. The PHO or taxi driver remains responsible for the journey, pricing, licensing, insurance and service.
BargainPHV simply helps make matching, communication and journey visibility easier.
